
On the thirteenth day, the Archers were back in action at the Asian Games. The Indian women’s Recurve Archery team of Bhajan Kaur, Ankita Bhakat and Simranjeet Kaur secured a Bronze medal victory against Vietnam, marking India’s first Recurve archery medal at the Games. The men’s Recurve Archery team, led by Atanu Das, Dhiraj Bommadevara and Tushar Shelke won the semifinal against Bangladesh with a score of 5-3, advancing to the final. However, they faced a tough challenge in the final and secured a Silver medal after losing to South Korea with a score of 1-5. Tomorrow Archer’s will be eyeing for the Gold in individual compound event.

In the sport of Sepaktakrow, the Indian women’s regu team of Ayekpam Maipak Devi, Oinam Chaoba Devi, Khushbu, Elangbam Priya Devi andElangbam Leirentombi Devi defeated China in a group match, earning a spot in the semifinals and guaranteeing a medal. Although they lost to Thailand with a score of 0-2, Maipak Devi Ayekpam’s outstanding performance made history by clinching a Bronze medal for the country.
In Badminton, HS Prannoy won a bronze medal in the singles event. Despite losing in the semifinal to Li Shifeng of China with scores of 16-21 and 9-21, Prannoy showcased his talent. In doubles, the pair of Satwik and Chirag defeated a Malaysian pair in the semifinal with scores of 21-17 and 21-12, securing a spot in the final and eyeing for the Gold medal tomorrow.
In wrestling, Sonam Malik achieved a Bronze medal in the women’s freestyle 62kg bout by defeating China’s Long Jia. Kiran Bishnoi secured the freestyle 76kg Bronze medal by winning 6-3 against Mongolia’s Ariunjargal Ganbat, and Aman Sherawat beat China’s Liu Minghu with a score of 11-0 in the Bronze medal match.

In Bridge, the Indian men’s team faced China in the Asian Games final, ultimately winning the Silver medal. The team members Jaggy Shivdasani, Sandeep Thakral, Rajeshwar Tiwari, Sumit Mukherjee, Raju Tolani, and Ajay Khare displayed exceptional skills.
Towards the end of the day, the Indian Men’s hockey team performed remarkably, defeating Japan in the final with a score of 5-1 and clinching the Gold medal. This victory also secured their spot in the Paris Olympics.
The Indian Men’s cricket team showcased their prowess by defeating Bangladesh by 9 wickets in the semifinal, restricting Bangladesh to 96 runs in 20 overs. Tilak Verma played a significant role, scoring 55 runs off 26 balls. The team will be eyeing for the Gold medal in the final match against Afghanistan scheduled for 7th October.
Furthermore, the Indian men’s Kabaddi team dominated Pakistan in a one-sided match, achieving a score of 61-14. They advanced to the final to face Iran for the Gold medal. The Indian women’s Kabaddi team also displayed their strength by defeating Nepal in the semifinal with a score of 61-17, and eyeing for the Gold in the final match against Chinese Taipei.
