Despite this, they managed to post a competitive score of 344 for the loss of 9 wickets within the allotted 50 overs. Hasan Ali emerged as the standout bowler, securing 4 crucial wickets.
In response, Pakistan encountered a shaky start, losing 2 early wickets. However, Shafique and Rizwan steadied the ship, orchestrating a strong partnership that guided Pakistan to the target with 10 balls to spare. Sri Lanka could only watch as Pakistan comfortably surpassed the required total. With this win, Pakistan maintained an undefeated record, triumphing in both matches they played. Mohammad Rizwan’s outstanding performance, amassing a brilliant 131 runs, earned him the well-deserved Player of the Match award.
