Mixed Team 1/8 elimination round -Ankita Bhakat/ Bommadewara played against F Choirunisa/M Pangetsu of Indonesia and defeated by 5-1
Mixed team Quarterfinal– Indian pair of Ankita and Dhiraj played Quarterfinal against Spain and won by 5-3. The first from India to reach Semifinal in Archery.
Mixed Team Semifinal – Indian played in their first ever Semifinal in Archery against Korea and went down fighting with 2-6.
Mixed Team Bronze medal Match – Indian duo played for Bronze against USA but hard luck lost by 2-6. Well played Ankita and Dhiraj even after loosing you went into record book of India.
Hockey
India took on Australia in their Group match in Pool B. India started first quarter by excellent field Goal from Abhishek in the 12th minute. Soon India got Penalty Corner in 13th minute of first quarter and Harmandeep converted it to make it 2-0 at the end of quarter 1. In Second quarter Australia came back strongly . In 25th minute Australia converted its PC and second quarter ended with 2-1 in favor of India.
In third quarter India scored its third Goal with Penalty stroke by Harmanpreet . Australia in last quarter went all out but Indians were also brilliant . India conceded a goal in 55th minute but Finally India won the match by 3-2. This win against Australia is after 1972 at Olympic. What a Historic Day.

Men’s Single Quarterfinal -Lakshay Sen played its first ever Olympic played quarterfinal match against Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipe . Lakshay lost first game fighting with 19-21. Lakshay Sen came back strongly in next two game to seal the match with 19-21, 21-15, 21-12. Lakshya Sen became Only Indian Men to Play in the Semifinal of Olympic .

Men’s Dingy – Vishnu Sarvanan is at 22nd place after four races with 83 points
Women’s Dingy- Nethra Kumanan is at 11th place after three races with 48 points . Fourth race has been suspended due to unfavourable weather condition.

In Heat 2 Parul Chaudhary finished at 14th place with her season’s best timing of 15:10.68. She gave her best . First 8 from both the pool qualify for final.
Men’s Shot put Qualification – Tejinder Pal Singh Toor finished at 15th position in his group with a throw of 18.05m. He could not qualify for the Final.
