
First Gold Medal-Day 2 of the Asian Games 2022 was action-packed for India. In the 10m Air Rifle Team event, our shooters, Divyansh Singh Panwar, Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil, and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, set a new world record and won India’s First Gold medal. Aishwary also won a bronze in the Individual 10m Air Rifle event, while RB Patil came in at 4thpositon . In the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Team event, Adarsh Singh, Anish, and Vijayveer Sidhu won a bronze.

Rowing
In Rowing, India had a great final day, securing two Bronze medals. Overall, we did better than the last Asian Games in Indonesia, where we won 3 medals (1 gold and 2 bronze). This time in Hangzhou, we grabbed five medals, including 2 silver and 3 bronze. Unfortunately, the gold medal slipped away in the rowing competition.


The Indian Women’s Cricket Team made history by winning the first-ever gold medal. During the match, India won the toss, and captain Harmanpreet Kaur chose to bat. Shafali, our opener, got out early, but Smriti and Jemimah played brilliantly, helping India score 116 runs in 20 overs. Though it seemed a bit short, Indian medium pacer Titas Sadhu took 3 wickets, restricting Sri Lanka to 97 runs. India won the final by 19 runs, securing the Gold for our country. In Boxing 4 out of 5 advances into next round keeping hopes alive for medal. Nikhat sails into round of16 with a terrific win. arundhati loses to Yang Liu of China in 66 Kg Boxing bout. In Wushu last games medalist Baliyan goes down after a hard fought against Indonesian. So, on the second day, we bagged 2 Gold and 4 Bronze medals.
However, there was some disappointment in tennis as Bopanna and Bhambari lost their match.They were the medal contender.
