Indian athlete have come long way and many new has been achieved in this Olympic. 5th August was one of those days where Indian faltered at the last hurdles of getting atleast a Bronze medal in Badminton and Shooting.

Nisha was unlucky to loose after injuries but she never gave up. She was 8-1 ahead 30 seconds to close the game when cruelty struck First her finger broke than shoulder dislocated. What could have been Semifinal birth but not to be she went out crying as next Olympic is four years from here.
Women table tennis team had good start and , Manika Batra led team to next round, First ever.
Avinash Sable made it to the final of 3000m steeplechase. First ever athlete to make it so far and we expet more from him.

Shooting
Skeet Mixed Team – Indian pair of Maheswari Chauhan and AJS Naruka made it to the final of the event 146 points and played for Bronze medal match against Chinese pair. In the Bronze medal match India lost with one point as match ended with 44-43 in favour of China.

Table Tennis
Women’s Team Round of 16– Women team of Manika, Sreeja and Archana took on Romania. Indian doubles and Manika in singles won their matches and India were 2-0 but Romania came back strongly and leveled it to 2-2. In final match Manika Batra won in straight games to win and will play quarterfinal.
Badminton
All Indian were glued to television or mobile at 1800 hrs to see if Lakshya Sen picks up another medal for India. Sen took the first game against Malaysian by 21-13 . But it seemed Lakshya had lost all its energy and gave up in next two games by 16-21, 11-21. He has been fighter but it was not his day. Better luck next time, you did proud to the nation. India has faith in you and will cheer for you.

Wrestling
In 68 Kg Women’s Freestyle Nisha played against Tetiana Sovo Rizhko of Ukraine . She was 4-0 dpwn but came back strongly to win the match by 6-4 to make it to Quarterfinal.
In quarterfinal she played Korean Pak Sol Gum , Nisha was leading 8-1 till last 30 seconds of second half when injury made her helpless. She give it her everything but could not fight injury of shoulder dislocation and broken finger. Lost by 10-8.
