Ishan Kishan, with his maiden century, led to the highest IPL total of 286 in 20 Over. Rivalry at its best in IPL 2025. First Super Sunday of the 18th season of IPL. In the first match, SRH took on RR. SRH won the toss and elected to bat. Abhishek and T Head started with a bang. Ishan joined after the fall of Abhishek, and what a knock by him. Ishan steered SRH to 286 with 106 not out in 47 balls. T Head took on RR bowler and scored 67 off 31 balls. Klassen had 14 balls 34 and SRH put on the highest ever T-20 IPL score, surpassing their own record. RR managed to pick up 6 wickets, but runs kept on flowing from everyone’s bat.
Rajasthan Royals started their chase and were very much in the game till the last 5 overs. Jurel and Samson were at task. Jurel scored 70 from 35 balls, whereas Samson had 66 from 37 balls. Hetmyer scored 42 from just 16 balls. Eventually, RR did reach up to 242 but could not escape the loss by 44 runs. T Deshpande picked pickup 3 wickets, but wickets were irrelevant in this match as 528 runs were scored in 40 Overs.

Chennai Super Kings Vs Mumbai Indians

In the Second match of the day, it was two rival teams, Chennai Super Kings against 5 times champion Mumbai Indians. At the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai, Rituraj Gaikwad won the toss and put Mumbai Indians to set the target.
Surya Kumar Yadav-led Mumbai Indians had a poor start by losing Rohit Sharma in the first over. Mumbai Indians kept on losing wickets on a regular basis while Tilak Varma scored 29 runs in 26 balls, and Captain SKY scored 31 from 25 balls. In the last few, D Chahar had 15 balls, 28 runs to take the score to 155 with loss of 9 wickets. Noor Ahmed, playing his first IPL, picked up 4 wickets by giving just 18 runs, and Khaleel picked up 3 wickets.

CSK started chasing and lost Rahul Tripathi in the second over. Rachin and Rituraj put on 67 runs before Rituraj got out in the 8th over. Rachin Ravindra carried the inning and with little hick ups passed the line in 20th over. R Jadeja has a little cameo of 17 runs in 18 balls. Rachin was not out on 65 in 45 balls
Noor Ahmed was declared Player of the Match for his 4 wickets by giving just 18 runs. CSK won by 4 wickets to register its inaugural match, whereas MI has continued its inaugural match loss since 2012.
