Jose Buttler’s explosive innings of 73 not out and Md Siraj’s best figure at Bengaluru outplayed RCB at their home ground, M Chinnaswamy. Gujarat Titans won the toss and put RCB to set a target. Kohli was first to go in the 2nd over, followed by Paddikal, Salt, and Captain Patidar. RCB were tottering at 42 for 4 in the 7th over. Jitesh and Livingstone had some semblance and added 52 runs when Jitesh got out . Livingstone scored 54 to take RCB to a respectable total of 169 at Chinnaswamy. Md Siraj picked up Phil Salt and Paddikal in his first spell and Livingstone in the second spell to get 3 for 39 in 4 Overs

GT started chase and had an early loss of Gill at 32. Jose Buttler joined Sai Sudharsan and both took the score to 107 when Sai Sudharsan was caught by wicket keeper Jitesh Sharma off the bowling of J Hazelwood. Rutherford joined Buttler and had an 18-ball 30 to take GT home. Jose Buttler’s explosive innings made it easy for Gujarat Titans to register a Win in the 18th over by 8 wickets. Md Siraj was declared Player of the Match for his 3 for 39.
It’s too early to predict playoff teams, but the way these top five teams are playing, it looks like there will be surprises this time in the 18th edition of the IPL. Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, RCB, Gujarat Titans, and Mumbai Indians have shown their performance in the last few games. Although other franchises are also good, yet to be seen how it unfolds.
