Kolkata Knight Riders Bulldozed SRH

Kolkata Knight Riders bulldozed Sunrisers at Eden Gardens in IPL Season 2025. Vekatesh Iyer with 29 ball 60 and 3 wickets for 22 from Varun Chakravarthy left SRH with no answer in either field.

SRH won the toss and put KKR to set the target. Opener de Kock and Narine failed in their opening partnership. Captain Rahane and Raghuvanshi put on 83 runs in 11 overs when Rahane got out. Raghuvanshi followed him after 1 over. Venkatesh Iyer and Rinku Singh steered the inning, taking it to the last 4 overs. Venkatesh Iyer was in no mood to spare any bowler. He was dealing in boundaries and scored 60 runs in 29 balls. Rinku Singh also scored 32 in 17 balls and took the score to 200 in 20 overs.

SRH with hard hitters in their team could have done better, but once again top order failed in the first 3 overs only. It seemed there was no forethought on how to proceed. SRH was in a hurry as if there were only 6 overs to reach the target. On the other hand, KKR bowled and fielded very well. Wickets kept on falling, and no one wanted to stay on the pitch. Varun and Vaibhav picked up 3 wickets each to take KKR to win with one of the largest wins with 80 runs.

SRH which started the tournament with a bang has lost in very early stage and seems they are missing their mature player. There is no balance between young and mature player.

KKR had many performers, Raghuvanshi, Venkatesh, Rinku, Vaibhav, and Varun all helped Kolkata Knight Riders bulldoze SRH. Vaibhav Arora was adjudged the Player of the Match for his 3 for 29, in which he picked up Travis Head, Ishan Kishan, and H Klassen.
