Kolkata Knight Riders Wins against Rajasthan Royals
Kolkata Knight Riders won their first match in IPL 2025 at the Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati. KKR won the toss and decided to chase. Rajasthan Royals set to bat couldn’t have a stable partnership. The opening partnership between Jaisawal and Samson did add 33 runs, and then the second wicket with a 34-run partnership with Parag. However, KKR kept picking up wickets, and at the end of 20 overs, RR could manage 151 with the loss of 9 wickets. All bowlers picked up wickets.
KKR started the chase with a good opening partnership of 41 runs when Moeen Ali gave his wicket in the 7th over. De Kock was joined by Captain Rahane and added 29 runs together and got out at the score of 71. Raghuvanshi came to the crease and, with De Kock, ensured that there was no further loss of wickets. KKR crossed the line in the 18th over to win the match by 8 wickets.
Quinton de Kock scored 97 of 61 balls with 8 fours and 6 Sixes and was adjudged Player of the Match.
