
India had mixed result on Day one . Initial setback from shooting , however at the end of shooting session, Manu Bhaker made it to the final and in the hunt for medal. As expected Lakshay Sen and Double pair of badminton men’s double won their respective matches. Result for the day are as under

Bhajan Panwar came fourth in Heat 1 with his personal best timing of 7:07.11. He will participate in Repechages tomorrow to qualify for Quarterfinal

10m Air Rifle Mixed Team
India’s hope is from shooting range. To start with 10m Rifle mixed team of Ramita and Arjun Babuta . India could not qualified for the medal match. The first four team qualified for final. The First two team played for Gold and 3rd and 4th place to play for Bronze medal. Indian mixed team finished at 6th place with 628.7 pts. 1 Pts behind the team placed at 4th position.
10m Air Pistol Men
In qualification round Indian duo of S Singh and AS Cheema could not qualify for final. The First eight to qualify for final. Indian finished at 9th and 18th place.

10m Air Pistol Women
Manu Bhaker and R Sangwan took part in qualification round. Manu Bhaker Qualified for the final with 580 Pts at 3rd Place. R Sangwan could not qualified as she was placed at 15th position with 573 Pts. First Eight will fight for the medal.
Manu Bhaker ‘s exceptional performance in the qualification round ended a 20 year wait since 2004 when Suma Shirur made it to the final as female Indian shooter. She will fight for medal tomorrow at 03:30 pm.
