Nepal’s opening partnership between Bhurtel and Sheikh flourished, with the first wicket falling at a score of 65. In the middle overs, Ravindra Jadeja intervened and took three wickets. Sheikh, displaying confidence, scored a solid 58 before Siraj managed to catch him, with Kohli making amends for an earlier drop when Sheikh was at just 1 run.
S Kami showcased his brilliance by scoring 48 runs off 56 balls, leading Team Nepal to a respectable total of 230. India’s bowling in the initial overs lacked accuracy and consistency. The match was marked by poor fielding and bowling from the Indian side, contrasted with an outstanding performance by the Nepalese players.
Though rain threatened to disrupt the game, it hadn’t done so yet. The hope remained that Indian batsmen would not repeat the same mistakes as the bowlers. Kudos to Nepal for a job well done!
