
The time has come to formally declare the Olympic Games in Paris, France, open. The Olympic Mela will stream live on all devices, including TVs, laptops, and smartphones. Approximately 11000 athletes will be vying for the medal they have been after for a considerable amount of time. There will be a lot of records set and broken. Milliseconds will be used to determine an athlete’s fate. Some will cry and some will return to the next Olympics with even more fervor and determination to aspire higher.
The Olympic Mela
329 events, 32 sports, and 206 different countries’ athletes. Even refugees are able to pursue their dreams. The Summer Olympics will be followed by the Paralympics. For fans of sports, the next seventeen days in Olympic Mela will be an exhilarating journey filled with excitement, drama, revelations and the birth of a new Olympian. India, which has second largest contingent ever will be competing in the 16 games , is hoping for success this time around.
Boxing Draw
India’s archery campaign has already commenced, with both the women’s and men’s teams making it to the quarterfinals. Another event for which a draw has been made is boxing.

Indian ladies face a difficult draw, but we can only hope that they will excel and win honors for their nation. This is the boxing draw for the Indian boxer at the Paris Olympics.

Nikhat and Lovlina, two Indian women, were dealt a challenging draw in their respective Olympic weight groups. If Nikhat makes it to the round of 16 , she will play PRC’s Wu Yu after taking on Germany’s Maxi in the round of 32. Wu Yu is ranked #1 in Paris and the current Asian Champion. In the quarterfinals, even assuming Lovlina makes it past the round of 16, she will play Chuthamat Raksat Uzbek Sabina from Thailand. In the quarterfinals, Lovlina may meet China’s Li Qian after opening her campaign against Sunniva of Norway. Let’s hope they improve on their last Olympic performance.
Since India has the largest contingent of 21 in shooting this time, shooting is where Indians have the most hope. The majority of them are world beaters we are hoping that India would win its first medal of the Paris Olympic 2024.
