
Priyansh Arya and Pooran with a thrilling century and half-century set a Challenging total for the opponent in IPL 2025. A total of 472 runs scored at Eden Gardens and 420 at Chandigarh. LSG survived a surprise onslaught by Rinku Singh in the last over to finally win by 4 runs.
In the First match of the day, KKR played against LSG, and in the second match, Punjab Kings played CSK in their home ground. Runfeast was observed in both the match, and 892 runs were scored in 40 overs.
KKR won the toss and decided to bowl first. LSG put into bat had a 99-run opening partnership in 10 overs when Markram fell to Harshit Rana at an individual score of 47 in 28 balls. Nicholas Pooran joined Marsh and added 71 runs to take the total to 170 when Marsh was caught by Rinku off A Russell. Pooran smashed around the park to be unbeaten on 87 in just 36 balls. LSG scored 238 runs in the allotted 20 overs.

KKR set to chase with an average run rate of more than 16 runs per over, started with hard hitting and were 37 in 2.3 overs when De Kock was sent back into the dugout by Akash Deep, who found him before the wicket. Second wicket with Rahane and Narine added 54 runs in the next 4 overs when Narine was sent back at the team’s total of 91 runs in 6.2 overs.
So far, KKR has been scoring more than 15 runs per over. But after the loss of Rahane at the team’s total of 162, and from here on, KKR kept on losing wickets and were 185 for 7 in 16.1 overs. 50 runs from 29 balls, and Rinku Singh played a brilliant cameo of 38 in just 15 balls. KKR at the end of 20 overs were just one strike away from winning the match. Ultimately, in a close contest, LSG won the match by just 4 runs. Akash Deep and Shardul Thakur picked up 2 wickets each.
Batsmen played exceedingly well, including the likes of Marsh, Markram, Rahane, Iyer, and Pooran. Pooran stands out with 87 not out in 36 balls with 8 sixes and 7 fours, and was declared Player of the Match.

Priyansh Arya with scintillating 103 in 42 balls
In the second match of the day, CSK travelled to Chandigarh to play Punjab at their home ground. PBKS won the toss and decided to bat. Prabhsimran got out in the second over on a duck. Wickets kept on falling, but Priyansh Arya held one end and scored freely and maintained the run rate of 10 plus. Shashank joined on 7 and both scored 71 runs in the next 5 overs when Arya got out after scoring a brilliant century of 103 in 42 balls. Jansen scored 19 balls, 34, and PBKS reached the total of 219 in 20 overs.
CSK had the huge task of surpassing the score with an average run rate of 11 per over. Powerplay went in favor of CSK, but in the 7th over, Rachin was sent back to the dugout at 61 for 1. Captain Gaikwad followed him, and it was 62 for 2. Dube and Conway had a 99 partnership to be in the game. Dube got out in the 16th over and was joined by Dhoni.

Needing 69 runs from 25 balls was just impossible to reach there but Mahi added 27 runs from 12 balls with 3 sixes and 1 four. But he went down by hitting the ball on the leg side and was caught by Chahal. Punjab Kings got relief and needed 22 runs from 5 balls was just not a cup of tea for Jadeja and Shankar. CSK is once again losing by 18 runs.
PBKS succeeded in restricting CSK to 201 and winning the match by 18 runs. Youngster Priyansh Arya was adjudged Player of the Match for his quick 103 runs from just 42 balls with 9 sixes and 7 fours.
