Starting next year, international students seeking to study in the United Kingdom will no longer have the option to accompany their families, including children or elderly parents.
The recent regulations introduced by the UK government, revealed on Tuesday, are poised to exert a noteworthy influence on individuals from India with aspirations of pursuing education abroad. Notably, India held the distinction of being the principal source country for foreign students in the UK during 2022, contributing to 41.4 percent of all recipients of graduate route visas.
At present, international students who have achieved their degrees in the UK are granted the privilege of remaining in the country to work or search for employment, irrespective of their skill level, for a span of 2 years. This period is extendable to 3 years if they successfully attain a PhD.
