On Saturday, a technical anomaly was experienced by the Russian Moon Mission Luna-25 during its preparations for the pre-moon landing phase, according to a statement from the Russian space agency Roscosmos.
The agency stated, “An unexpected situation arose aboard the automated station during its operation, preventing the planned maneuver from being executed under the designated conditions.”
This “emergency” occurrence was identified prior to transitioning the Luna-25 satellite into the pre-landing orbit with the prescribed parameters, as confirmed by the Russian space agency.
