1. PM Modi Launches Infrastructure Projects Worth Over ₹1.06 Lakh Crore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Rajasthan and Gujarat and launched development projects worth over ₹1.06 lakh crore aimed at strengthening infrastructure, energy, transport and regional development.
Major Highlights
- Dedicated India’s first Greenfield Refinery-cum-Petrochemical Complex at Pachpadra (Balotra), Rajasthan, built at a cost of over ₹79,450 crore.
- Inaugurated the new terminal building of Jodhpur Airport worth ₹480 crore.
- Announced the Modified UDAN Scheme to improve regional air connectivity.

2. Parliament Monsoon Session from 20 July: Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced that the Monsoon Session of Parliament will be held from 20 July to 13 August 2026, as summoned by President Droupadi Murmu.

MHA Declares 23 Individuals as Terrorists under UAPA: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) designated 23 Pakistan-based and PoJK-based operatives as terrorists under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for their involvement in terrorism, financing and reconnaissance of important Indian targets.

2. INS Trikand Foils Piracy Attempt: Indian Navy’s INS Trikand successfully prevented a piracy attack on merchant vessel MV Golden Arsenal in the Gulf of Aden by deploying MARCOS commandos with support from a P-8I maritime surveillance aircraft.
3. Semiconductor & Defence Technology
- Prime Minister inaugurated the CG Semi OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) Facility at Sanand, Gujarat under the India Semiconductor Mission.
- The facility has a planned production capacity of 5 billion semiconductor chips annually.
- IIT Delhi, DRDO and an Indian defence startup developed India’s first indigenous high-altitude tactical aerostat capable of carrying surveillance payloads up to 20 km.
- CDSCO brought stem-cell therapies, gene therapies and xenografts under central licensing to strengthen regulation.
