1. UNCTAD World Investment Report 2026
- India ranked 11th globally in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows.
- FDI inflows: USD 38.89 billion (↑44%).
- Outward FDI: USD 35.66 billion (↑47%); India ranked 18th globally.
- Investments were driven by semiconductors, green energy and digital infrastructure.
- USA remained the world’s largest source and recipient of FDI.
2. PRAGATI Programme Launched: Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched PRAGATI (Promoting Regenerative Agriculture Through Agri-Entrepreneurship Initiative).
Highlights
- Implemented initially in 8 States: MP, Bihar, UP, Assam, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Maharashtra & Rajasthan.
- Target: 20,000 agri-entrepreneurs supporting 20 lakh farmers.
- Focus on regenerative, climate-resilient and low-input farming.
3. Delhi HC Recognises Right to be Forgotten: In Laksh Vir Singh Yadav v. Union of India, the Delhi High Court held that the Right to be Forgotten (RTBF) is an intrinsic part of Article 21 (Right to Life and Privacy).
- Courts may direct digital platforms to mask personal information where continued publication causes disproportionate harm without overriding public interest.
4. PM-SETU Approved: Cabinet approved the nationwide rollout of PM-SETU (Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs).
- Outlay: ₹1,237.58 crore.
- Upgradation of 200 ITI clusters to improve employability and vocational skills.
5. UDISE+ Report 2025–26 Released
- Secondary school dropout rate declined to 7%.

1. ISRO to Set Up Space Tracking Station in Australia’s Cocos Islands: India and Australia agreed to establish an ISRO tracking facility on the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.

2. Mizoram University Museum Declared 21st National Biodiversity Repository: The Natural History Museum, Mizoram University, Aizawl was designated India’s 21st Designated Repository under the Biological Diversity Act, 2002.
- Located in the Indo-Burma Biodiversity Hotspot.
- Will preserve and catalogue important flora and fauna specimens.
3. SARAS MK-II Moves to Prototype Stage: CSIR-NAL finalized the design of the indigenous 19-seater SARAS MK-II regional passenger aircraft and entered prototype manufacturing.
