Vinesh Phogat, after Disqualification, ends magnificent wrestling career (2001-2024)

Vinesh Phogat Disqualified

Vinesh Phogat appeals against her disqualification and considers for the Silver medal. On Day 12 Indian athlete performed well on the field, but, hunger for a medal is so high after the Tokyo Olympics that we are expecting a medal from each event. The best of the world are here, and everyone is at their peak. Indians did raise their bar, and we have many 4th finishes, and that medal is just a lip away.

Vinesh was unlucky with 100 grams. Mirabai Chanu had only one counted lift in her Clean and Jerk, where she had lifted 115kg in the last Olympics, but she failed to lift 114kg. In rest, we were giving our best.
