
Vinesh Phogat Disqualified
Vinesh Phogat appeals against her disqualification and considers for the Silver medal. On Day 12 Indian athlete performed well on the field, but, hunger for a medal is so high after the Tokyo Olympics that we are expecting a medal from each event. The best of the world are here, and everyone is at their peak. Indians did raise their bar, and we have many 4th finishes, and that medal is just a lip away.
Vinesh was unlucky with 100 grams. Mirabai Chanu had only one counted lift in her Clean and Jerk, where she had lifted 115kg in the last Olympics, but she failed to lift 114kg. In rest, we were giving our best.
Golf
Women’s Individual Stroke Play Round 1 – Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar started her compaign in Golf. At the end of the day Diksha Dagar is at 7th position with par score of -1. Where as Aditi Ashok is placed at 13th place with Par 0.
Table Tennis
Women’s Team Quarterfinal- Indian Women team played Germany in team’s Quarterfinal and lost by 1-3. Archana G Kamath pulled off one match X Shan.

Disqualification of Vinesh
In 50 kg freestyle Vinesh Phogat was to play final but was disqualified for overwight. Appeal has been made.
1430hrs onwards -Women’s Freestyle 53Kg 1/8 – Antim Paghal was down and dusted in 45 seconds with 10-0 by Yetgil Zeynep of Turkiye
Weightlifting
Women’s 49 Kg – Mirabai Chanu Saikhom could not able repeat her performance. She did lift 88 kg in snatch and 111kg in clean and Jerk to make it 199kg . Where as Thailand’s Khambao lifted 200kg to finish at Bronze. She failed at 3rd attempt in Clean and Jerk at 114kg.

Men’s Triple Jump Qualification- Praveen Chithravel and Abdulla Narangolintevida represented India at Triple Jump. Both failed to qualify for the final. Abdulla with 16.49m was placed at 13th position in Group B. In Group A Praveen was at 12th place with a jump of 16.25m. !7m was automatic qualification mark.
