Indian Archery Team performing well at international and World championship but Olympic medal has always eluded them. Dipika Kumari a World Champion in her fourth Olympic and the team has been striving hard for that prized medal. Today on 25 Jul 2024 both men and women team were lined up for Ranking Round.

India women were first to begin at Indian time 1300 hrs . Women’s archery team sealed a top-four spot to earn a direct entry into the quarter-finals . Ankita Bhakat, Bhajan Kaur and Deepika Kumari all finished in the top 32. Ankita finished 11th with a score of 666, while fellow debutant Bhajan finished at 22nd on 659. Deepika Kumari finished 23rd on 658 points.
At 1730 IST ,Indian Men team begin thier quest and inspite of set back from Pravin Jadhav team finished at third place to enter in to quarter-final. Dhiraj Bommadevara was incredible to earn 681 points to secure overall fourth position. Tarundeep Rai finished at 14th place with 674 points and Jadhav finished at 39th position with 658 points.
Both men and women team are a win away from a chance to play for medal . Indian men team will play winner of match between Turkiye and Colombia. Likely not to play South Korea in semi final
Indian women will play its quarter final against winner of tie between France and Netherland.
Archers Dhiraj Bommadevara and Ankita Bhakat seeded 5th in the mixed team event of the archery series. As per the round of 16 draw, India will meet Indonesia for a place in the quarter-finals
