
UPSC CAPF-AC Syllabus
The syllabus for UPSC CAPF-AC contains two Papers. Paper 1 is divided into six subjects which are as under
General Mental Ability
Logical reasoning, Quantitative ability including numerical ability and interpretation of data.
General Science
Developing a scientific temperament and comprehending and appreciating every day. Observations of scientific phenomena including emerging fields such as information Technology, biotechnology, and environmental science.
Current Events of National and International Importance
National and international events of significance in areas including culture, music, arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and developmental issues, industry, business, globalization, and international relations.
Indian Polity Economy
India’s political system and constitution: Understanding of India’s political structure, constitution, social systems, and public administration. Knowledge of India’s economic development, security issues, human rights, and related indicators.
Indian History
Nationalism and freedom movement: Topics related to the growth and historical movements for freedom.
Indian World Geography
The syllabus will encompass the study of both Indian and global geography, including physical, social, and economic aspects.
In the UPSC CAPF Paper 2 syllabus, there are descriptive-type questions that must be answered according to the Commission’s guidelines. This section carries a weightage of 200 marks and assesses a candidate’s language proficiency, comprehension, and essay-writing skills. It is important to note that only candidates who meet the CAPF Cut Off in Paper 1 will be evaluated for Paper 2.
To perform well in this section and manage time effectively, students should revise their English grammar and regularly practice writing essays on relevant topics.
Essay
syllabus includes key topics such as modern Indian history, with a specific focus on the freedom struggle, as well as geography, politics, economy, knowledge of security and human rights issues, and analytical ability.
Comprehension, précis writing language skills
syllabus includes subjects such as reading comprehension, précis writing, developing counter arguments, basic grammar, and other aspects of language testing.
