MI on Roller Coaster, 6th straigth win to take the First spot in points table. Mumbai Indians defeated RR with 100 runs to register a win after 2012 at Sawai Mansingh stadium
RR won the toss and asked Mumbai Indians to set a target. Mumbai Indians batsmen are in top form. Rickelton and Rohit had a brilliant start to have a 116-run opening partnership. 7 runs later, another opener, Rohit, was also in the dugout. Two new batsmen on the crease, Captain Hardik and Surya. Both steered the innings and took the score to 217 without losing another wicket. RR bowlers were ineffective and had not much impact on the MI batsmen
MI Win
RR had a tough task in front of the Mumbai Indians bowling with names like Bumrah and Boult. Young sensational prodigy Suryavanshi got out on a duck. And RR batsman just fell like packs of cards and were bowled out at a paltry score of 117 in 16.1 overs. MI bowlers T Boult and Karn Sharma picked up 3 wickets each, whereas Bumrah got 2 wickets. Mumbai Indians outclassed RR in all departments to move to the top of the table with their sixth straight win.

Mumbai Indians once again with the win to the First spot in the points table of IPL 2025. Early loss in the season, and after that, no looking back and performing with perfection. RR had some hope if they could have managed to win this match, but couldn’t. Topsix is definitely in contention for the playoffs. It seems the Net run rate is going to play a crucial role in the end, and today’s win by 100 runs is going to assist the Mumbai Indians in the playoffs
The top four batsmen of MI played exceedingly well and all scored 48 runs plus. But Rickelton’s 61 from 38 balls stands out among all to get Player of the Match.
